Completed in December of 2022, the Ziegler home in Perdido Key may not have had much time for its walls to weather or its floors to show the wear of years, but owners Sherri and Joey have still made memories in their year of living there, celebrating their first Christmas and soaking in the sight of the sunrises and sunsets as they wash over the sky.
“They are stunning,” says Sherri, a real estate agent with Levin Rinke Realty, while Joey is the mortgage manager for Regions Mortgage in Pensacola. “It’s very relaxing and peaceful here, and we truly love everything about it. But most of all, I would say creating memories with our family and friends is what truly makes it wonderful.”
Boasting 4,488 square feet with 14 rooms in total including five bedrooms and four baths, the West Indies-style home comprises three levels, with two levels of living spaces built on top of pilings and a garage level. Built by Thomas Cutts Construction, the exterior is white board and batten offset with a dark bronze metal roof and dark bronze accents. Continuing the theme, the porch ceilings are ebony stained tongue and groove, with matching Bahama shutters and corbels that add to the West Indies look of the home, while gas lanterns on the front porch give the home a hint of Southern charm.
