Community Leader: Shelia Stephens

For Shelia Stephens, the heart of Orange Beach isn’t just its beautiful shores—it’s the tight-knit community that comes together in both the best and worst of times. Having lived in the area for 11 years, Shelia cherishes the people, strong family values, and sense of unity, something she witnessed firsthand during Hurricane Sally when neighbors helped one another through the devastation.
Beyond her professional role as a CRNP and co-owner of Southern Rapid Care, Shelia is deeply family-oriented. She comes from a large family, remains close with her six siblings, and treasures the bond with her parents. She is also a proud dog mom to Lola, “the dog that rescued me,” and has a son and two grand-dogs. In her free time, she enjoys DIY projects, spending time with her Mardi Gras sisters, and giving back to the community.
